For me, this macro photo of a delicate brittle starfish entwined among the branches of a stunningly beautiful soft coral is hard to take my eyes off! The rich and vibrant colors grab my attention and I absolutely love the way the bright orange spicules within the soft coral seem to pop out like miniature lightning bolts within the image. This Dendronepthia species of soft coral is extremely delicate and the spicules give the soft tissue some rigidity to open and expand when feeding as it is now. Dozens of species of marine invertebrates and fish live within and on soft corals and many have evolved to look almost exactly like the coral they live on. Underwater macro photography is my favorite type of photography to do. The incredible detail in even the most minute parts of the soft coral are stunning to see and these colors will grab your attention and never let go!
This image looks awesome hung both vertically or horizontally and has a "WOW" factor that is sure to impress!
